Are you tired of receiving notifications from third-party services asking you to subscribe to this or that service? On your Glo, MTN, 9Mobile (Etisalat), and Airtel lines, you can now enable the “Do Not Disturb” option.
Not long ago, third-party partners of Nigeria’s telecommunications companies began using fraudulent techniques to get customers to enroll to their services.
As a result, many consumers have been duped into subscribing to one or more services without recognizing it; and as a result, their account balances have been steadily depleted.
Probably in response to the millions of subscribers in Nigeria, the Nigerian Communication Commissions (NCC) mandated that all telecommunications firms enable customers to opt out of being disturbed by activating the Do Not Disturb (DND) function on their lines.
Code to Check BVN On GLO Network In 2022
Do not disturb (DND) mode on Glo, MTN, 9Mobile, and Airtel.
You now have the choice of activating full DND or partial DND, courtesy of NCC. In the strictest sense, you do not want to receive any promotional messages or IVR at all. While partial DND enables you to disable some while leaving others enabled.
To begin, you must determine whether you want a partial or complete DND.
Take note that all Nigerian networks use the same code (2442) to prevent unwanted texts and calls.
To activate complete DND, send the text message “STOP” to 2442.
If you want to activate partial DND, text “Help” to 2442.
Following that, you’ll get a message listing all of the network’s service categories and the codes required to stop receiving messages from them.
The message should like this:
STOP: To stop all SMS and IVR messages.
ALLOW: To get all SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 1: To get the Banking / Insurance/ Financial Products SMS.
SMS 2: To get the Real Estate SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 3: To get Education SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 4: To get the Health SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 5: To get the Consumer goods & Automobiles SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 6: To get the Communication/Broadcasting/Entertainment/IT SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 7: To get the Tourism & Leisure SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 8: To get the Sport SMS and IVR messages.
SMS 9: To get the Religion SMS and IVR messages.
STATUS: To check the status of your DND.
In short, if you’re interested in partial DND, you must first transmit “STOP” to 2442; then, one by one, activate the services in which you’re interested. That is all.
Utilization of these services is completely free. You may deactivate and revive your account as often as you choose. And don’t forget to assist the elderly. Those who are less tech-savvy continue to bear the brunt of the indiscriminate credit reductions that third-party services impose on users.
