The UFC announced a historic partnership deal with Crypto.com on July 7 this year. The deal is reportedly worth $175 million over 10 years.
Crypto.com has also been named the official partner of the cryptocurrency platform, creating a new sponsorship category for the UFC. Apart from placing their logo on combat equipment, the crypto platform will also participate in another integration in the world’s largest MMA promotion. Crypto.com is a Singapore-based company and currently operates a crypto-based exchange application with more than 10 million users.
In November, the two sides announced the expansion of their long-term partnership to include the exclusive NFT UFC series. UFC athletes receive fifty percent of the proceeds from NFT sales associated with the organization. Crypto.com also sponsors Formula 1 and the Italian football league Serie A, among others.
Crypto.com will now feature various UFC digital collectibles, including unique fighter collections, fight night artwork, event posters, championship belts, avatars, artist collaborations, mystery boxes, and more.
UFC 264 is the first event in promotion to feature the Crypto.com logo on riot gear.
Meanwhile, the gear deal officially kicks off at UFC 264, taking place on July 10, 2021 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
That high-profile pay-per-view was led by a trilogy bout featuring former two-part UFC champion Conor McGregor and former interim lightweight title holder Dustin Poirier.
Poirier beat McGregor by TKO due to stoppage at the end of the first round. The ‘famous’ Irishman suffered an unusual foot injury which prevented him from continuing the match.
Wow congrats to UFC for signing the partnership deal.
