The presidential bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu may as well be in jeopardy as he faces a stern test of getting unanimous support from all the 19 northern states of the federation.
They said during another interfaith summit, their decision on the said platform will be made known to Nigerians.
“As a consequence; we northern Christians in APC will not support or enable in any way this callous attempt to divide Nigeria along religious lines as exemplified by the already toxic debate in the media, part of the communique reads.

According to the Channels TV, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 northern states of the federation and including the FCT has reiterated their commitment not to support the APC stalwart.
This affirmation was made known via a statement issued by the CAN secretary-general, Sunday Oibe in Kaduna State.
As contained in the statement, CAN said it will not be supporting the Tinubu-Shettima ticket adopted by the APC ahead of the 2023 presidential polls.
The CAN secretary, however, warned against any attempt of any politician trying to monetarily induce the association all in the name to get them to support the presidential bid of the duo (Tinubu-Shettima).
Similarly, Northern Christian leaders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have come to the conclusion that the Muslim-Muslim ticket is divisive and as such, they are looking for an alternative platform.
The northern Christian politicians made this submission during a summit held in Abuja on Friday, July 29, attended by Babachir Lawal, Yakubu Dogara, and Elisha Abbo among others.
The APC members in the summit noted that the Tinubu-Shettima arrangement for 2023 is unjust and insensitive.
The politicians resolved that they will come up with a pan-Nigerian platform that will accommodate both Christians and Muslims, one that will bring to fruition the collective aspiration of a united country.
